I graduated from the University of MN (Go Gophers!) in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Retail Merchandising and Management. At the time, it was a challenging year(s), since we were in the thick of the recession. I remember graduating and walking across the stage with only a 25% job placement rate. A room full of highly qualified, strong talents and skills, but limited careers made it such a overwhelming time. Thankfully, I was able to find a career at a large retail department store as an assistant store manager. I was there for 6 years before it was best to finally step away.
My husband and I got married in 2010, we expanded our family in 2011, and welcomed our baby girl Macie. That year, we bought our first rental property in Brooklyn Center. In 2013, we welcomed our second child Bella, and in 2015 we completed our family with our third child, Allie. At the time, my husband (who also graduated the same time as me) struggled finding a job. His family owned a family restuarant in Western WI. His dad offered him to come along and learn what it takes to own and manage a restuarant. Reluctantly, he agreed. Especially since there was not another opportunity that came along. This opportunity ended up being a decade of learning.
Late 2018, I was a young mom of three kiddos - exhausted, defeated, and feeling utterly hopeless at how my degree in management had brought me to singing an endless array of ABC's and Baby Shark. I felt useless. My husband was at work for 10-11 hour days and missed out on almost all the milestones of the kids. I took the initiative to pick myself up and do something about it.
I started off as a rep for a luxury new construction builder on the east side of the Twin Cities. I hit the ground running HARD! During my time of open houses, I studied for my real estate license. I began in September 2018 studying, and got my official license in mid October of 2018! My first closing was in March of 2019 and I've only grown leaps and bounds since.
Today, we own 3 rental properties (one short term rental, 2 long term rentals). I've helped over 150+ clients and customers in finding their dream home. Nothing fills my bucket more than helping people find THE home. There's a sparkle, a little more pep in the step, and excitement that can't be described. I love being able to welcome someone to their home! When we begin the journey of home searching or selling - you become my family. I learn a lot about each of my clients, and I do my best to take care of them every step of the way!
